Anand Kendra – Home for boys
Anand Kendra is a home for destitute or abandoned children in the heart of south Mumbai.
“There is no place like home!” was the idea that inspired Thelma J.R.D. Tata to found Anand Kendra in 1954. Since then, Anand Kendra Trust has been a heaven for the destitute and homeless for over 50 yeras. No just a shelter, it provides boys ranging from the nascent age of 8 to the teens of 18 years, with the love and attention of a real home. Anand Kendra nurtures, educates and groom deprived, needy, orphaned boys, sending them out into the world as a capable young men. Their every need is carefully attended to by a combination of dedicated trustees and employees.
30 boys are accommodated in spacious dormitories and have the use o newly renovated bath and toilet facilities.
